磁帶格式 - ISO 2709

透過電腦可以看到的書目記錄, 大約有四種格式:

 

1.磁帶格式

2.驗證單格式

3.卡片格式中國89

4.條列格式

磁帶格式就是俗稱 2709 格式, 經由圖書館應用系統計算出來, 專供其他圖書館應用系統讀取, 很難被人直接讀用; 驗證單格式即是欄位格式, 方便編目員校對書目內容的正確性, 祗有編目員才有能耐去讀用; 至於卡片格式即是國際標準書目著錄格式, 以國際標準書目著錄格式指定的項目及標點符號呈現書目的內容, 這是讀者可以瞭解的格式; 條列格式針對一般的當地讀者, 條列其書目內容, 對當地語言文化有隔閡的外地使用者, 往往對其內容產生誤解。

 

卡片格式已經失去原有的光環, 其他的格式還會併行一陣子, 不太可能忽略其中任何一種。

ISO 2709 指的是一份國際標準2709, 規範在資訊及文獻領域裡, 以磁帶交換書目資訊時, 應該遵守的登錄格式, 以便為各系統所接受。

從應用層面來說, 這個格式不含任何控制符號, 純粹祗有資料, 也就是一個個位元組接續構成的書目資訊, 可以用任何文書處理軟體看到其內容, 祗是不應以人工方式變動其內容, 尤其不能增刪任何一個位元組; 因為很多內容係經過軟體的計算而得來的, 牽一髮而動全身, 沒有任何編目軟體允許編目員在這個格式下做任何的調整。

在 ISO 2709 的格式裡, 依其性質, 每筆書目記錄的內容, 可以分為四個部份, 依序是:

記錄標示, 最前面的24個位元組。

指引, 每個指引以12個位元組構成, 可以有無數個指引。

2010年ISBD的目標：

•make records from different sources interchangeable, so that records produced in one country can be easily accepted in library catalogues or other bibliographic lists in any other country;

(跨越語文障礙，即使不認識該語文，仍可識得其記錄的內容。)

•enhance interoperability with other content standards.

Title proper [正題名]
The chief title of a resource, i.e. the title of a resource in the form in which it appears in the prescribed sources of information for the title and statement of responsibility area.

 

Statement of responsibility [著者敘述]
Name(s), phrase(s) or group(s) of characters relating to the identification and/or function of any persons or corporate bodies responsible for or contributing to the creation or realization of the intellectual or artistic content of a work. Statements of responsibility may occur in conjunction with titles (e.g. the title proper, parallel titles, titles of individual works contained in the resource, titles in series/sub-series statements) or in conjunction with edition statements.

 

中國機讀編目格式

中國圖書館學會與國立中央圖書館, 於1980年成立「圖書館自動化作業委員會」, 謀求:

研訂中文機讀編目格式 (Chinese MARC Format), 作為國內外目錄作業之規範。

合作發展圖書資料自動化作業系統, 以改進圖書資料處理技術及圖書館資訊服務。

建立中文資料庫, 並引進國外資料庫, 以應資料查詢之需要。

建立全國資訊網, 以配合國家建設之需要, 並促進學術之研究與發展中國。

以 UNIMARC 格式為底稿, 於1980年元月出版中文圖書機讀編目格式第一版中國81, 緊接著採納美國專家的建議, 於同年7月, 出版修訂第二版。

1981年8月出版的中國機讀編目格式中國82, 採納地圖、視聽資料等非書資料; 1984年出版了第二版, 主要係採納 UNIMARC Handbook 的部份內容; 1989年10月出版之第三版中國89, 則以 UNIMARC Manual 為藍本, 成為大多數圖書館系統採用的標準, 至於1987年6月出版的第四版中國97, 尚未正式融入實際的作業中。

1994年的時候, 中央標準局將中國機讀編目格式第三版的內容, 收入成為中國國家標準的一員CNS13226, 祗是它的英文名稱引起有識之士的一陣錯愕。

 

 

今天老師教我們新的東西那就是MARC21，對我來說感覺有些複雜，尤其是它的演進史等等我必須好好複習這個部分。

IFLA成立ISBD修訂委員會, 於1981年正式規畫, 定期審視及修訂圖書、連續性出版品、靜畫資料及非書資料等ISBD。該委員會有三個主要目標: (1)協調各ISBD, 增加其一致性; (2)改進例子; (3)加強對非羅馬語系的編目員的支持。當年的短期目標是: (a)檢視等號的使用方法;(b)考慮國際音樂圖書館員學會對ISBD(NBM)的需求。至1980年代底, 以上兩個短期目標都已達成。

目標

ISBD主要的目標是明定全球相容的敘述書目記錄, 幫助國家書目機構在國際間互相交換書目記錄。藉由規範著錄的細目、順序、標點符號, 期望達成三個目標: a)不同來源的書目資料, 得以互相交換, 甲國的書目資料可以輕易的被乙國的圖書館接受; b)跨越語文障礙, 即使不認識該語文, 仍可識得其記錄的內容; c)協助轉換傳統形式的書目記錄為電子形式的書目記錄。

the chief title of a resource, i.e. the title of a resource in the form in which it appears on the prescribed sources of information for the title and statement of responsibility area. The title proper includes any alternative title, but excludes parallel titles and other title information. In the case of a section or some supplements and some titles of subseries or parts, the title proper can consist of two or more components: the common title (or the title of the main series or of the multipart monographic resource), the dependent title and the dependent title designation. For resources containing several individual works the title proper is the collective title. Resources containing several individual works and lacking a collective title are considered not to have a title proper. A series or subseries also has its own title proper (See also common title, dependent title, dependent title designation)

 

老師今天一上課就考了上次上課的內容,雖然我知道答案但是還是讓我有些不知所措,另外老師也延續之前的課程內容繼續講解有關ISBD的各個細目。

今天老師發了考卷,當我看到分數時嚇了一跳,畢竟以前很少有這種分數,雖然分數不是很好看,不過還是收拾心情解討自己錯在何處,另外老師還講解ISBD的歷史。

1.   編目的第一步驟是先看著錄來源。

2.   著錄必有依據。

3.   每一著錄項目有其指定著錄來源，非得自指定著錄來源者，加方括弧。

4.   美國定義49頁以下的稱為小冊子。

5.   圖書之主要著錄來源為書名頁，若無書名頁，則參考版權 頁、封面、書背、卷端、簡略書名頁及逐頁書名等，以載有最完備之著錄資料者替代之，並將來源記於附註項。凡替代書名頁為主要著錄來源者,視同書名頁。

6.依中國編目規則第三版規定，第一著錄層次應包含：

(1)正提名

(2)第一著者敘述

(3)版本敘述

(4)出版者

(5)出版年

(6)面（葉）數、冊數或其他單位

(7)附註

(8)標準號碼

7. 依AACR2規定，第一著錄層次應包含：

 能在此時重新複習中國編目規則與AACR2讓我對這兩項編目規則能有更深的印象。
